Solving Cat Overpopulation

One of the Cat Action Team’s primary objectives is to trap, neuter, test, vaccinate and return feral, stray and barns cats.

A study on cat overpopulation in Canada says more pets are being sterilized to reduce unwanted litters, but there are still more cats than people willing to give them homes.

Kittens can get pregnant as early as five months old, producing more kittens and continuing the cycle. The result? Too many cats and not enough homes for all of them.

Our hope is for all cats on PEI to have warm, loving homes.

Fundraiser at The Trailside Cafe

On October 23, 2019, CAT hosted a night of music featuring Dennis Ellsworth and Iain McCarvill at the Trailside Music Cafe & Inn.  The dark and stormy weather outside did nothing to dampen the mood inside the room.  Playing to a packed house of music and cat lovers, the audience was regaled with a combination of the musicians’ own tunes and some lesser known covers.  To our great amusement, some cat-themed songs figured prominently in both performances.
